The top 10 winners of the Selangor Accelerator Programme 2018
Selangor Accelerator Programme, which is run by the Selangor Information Technology & E-Commerce Council (SITEC), on Saturday announced the top ten winners of their four-month programme in a demo day event in Setia Alam.
Launched in April, the Selangor Accelerator Programme aims to make participating startups “investor-ready” and is the first accelerator run by Selangor State Government through SITEC.
Winners of the programme will have the opportunity to visit TsingHua University in China in August as part of a study trip, the result of the organisation’s partnership with the university’s incubator arm TusStar.
The top five of these top ten startups will also be included in the Selangor International Pitch; part of the Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention 2018 in September, the event invites top Asia Pacific startup to pitch on stage.
“This programme is the natural progression for SITEC, after our incubator programme StartupQuest Selangor, which has seen numerous creative and innovative ideas, some of which have also moved on to realise their minimum viable product as a startup. This, in my opinion, is an encouraging sign that the startup community is constantly and proactively looking to grow, learn, and better themselves,” said SITEC Chief Executive Yong Kai Ping at the event on Saturday.
